Gulf Stream Fishing

Morehead City and Alantic Beach:

Boats took some faith in the weather, man headed out to the stream, the wind did not help anybody but fair catches of blackfin, king macs, and dolphin. Just beginning to show couple patches of weeds. Some hoisters were caught, Wahoos did bite but due to conditions it was tuff! Weekend weather looking not the best but middle of next week back at it. Great signs of temps. and water color change looked good on sunday. Fishing should be just right if we could turn the fan off.

BANKS/MOREHEAD CITY:
THE FISHING FRENZY STARTS HERE EVERY SPRING!

The Restless Lady is in position where the best Offshore fishing on the east coast begins every year!

The charter fleet is currently catching wahoo and blackfin tuna at a famous spot named THE BIG ROCK and at the Swansboro hole.

Every April brings the largest of the mahia-mahia as they return from the spawning grounds.

APRIL and MAY will produce the best fishing of the season on the east coast. Dolphin, 20-50 lbs. and lots of them. Yellowfin tuna with wahoos year round with blackfin tunas year round certainly makes for an exciting trip.

This is where you will certainly have the best chance of having plenty of shots at blue marlins, white marlins, sailfish. The runs to the spots are 30-40 miles with many days close as 20 miles. Restless Lady will following the fish up the coast to Ocean City.

A special thing for this location is over night fishing for anglers that want to be worn out from fishing 24hrs. Fill the fish boxes up. Multiple species of sharks are located there, we will keep one nice shark, mako or thrasher, which are both excellent eating. Bottom fishing is fantastic, wrecks are everywhere with exceptional hard bottoms. Sea bass grouper, Amberjack, bluefish, mackerels and kings. Then put in trolling time makes for an outstanding trip. Join our professional crew and enjoy an exciting comfortable day.

Oregon Inlet, North Carolina
Yellowfin and Big Eye Tuna

Oregon inlet offers some of the best pelagic fishing on the east coast. World class yellowfin and big eye tuna fishing.

Typically spring and fall migration of tunas follow the gulfstream. Oregon Inlet is where the gulfstream comes closest to the east coast compared to anywhere in the country. Also the Hatteras canyon is just 30 miles from the inlet. It is not uncommon to get temperature breaks of up to 10'.The bottom structure and water temperatures provide the environment for excellent fishing. Besides tuna, the marlin, mahi and wahoo fishing is excellent as well. It is not usual to catch limits of tuna.

Capt. Sean and Capt. Todd both have extensive experience fishing all over North Carolina.

We're offering 12 hour trips for $1600. 8 hour and overnight trips are available as well.

Restless Lady will be moving operations October 15 - November 30 to be right in the middle of the action. Restless Lady will be operating out of Broadcreek Marina Wanchese, NC 27981. Drive Time is 3.5 hrs from Ocean city and 5.5 hours from Baltimore.

Morehead City, North Carolina
Giant Bluefin Tuna

The GBFT Fishing is heating up in North Carolina! - December 2009

We caught a giant Saturday, Dec 12th. Friday we had on a similar size fish and after 1 hour of fighting, he threw the hook! We hooked him at 11am. We had 40lbs of drag on him and the hook pulled out, must have pulled a piece of his lips right off. It was a little choppy and cold but an unbelievable experience. Saturday the wind layed down and we were 17 miles off in 70 feet of water, water temp 63 degrees.

Hooked him at 7:30 and after one hour we had him at the boat. Towards the end of the fight he got half of his body out of the water 10 feet behind the boat, it's like a submarine surfacing.

640 pounds! 96 inches long.

We have fished 5 days and hooked up 3 of the 5. Saturday was a huge bite with a lot of boats hooking up and landing these monsters. Keep an eye on the weather, we will fish any day the wind is 25 knots or less. If you have any questions call me! It is chilly out there but we have a heated cabin microwave to heat food and drinks.

It's an experience you cannot pass up. We are charging $100 per head/ per day, up to four anglers. Anglers reel these monsters in and get all the photos/ video you want. Local hotels rates are usually $40-$60 per night. Drive time is 5.5 hours from OC, MD and 7.5 hours from Baltimore. The boat will be docked at the yacht basin on the east side of downtown Morehead city. We are booking trips now!

Looking forward to hearing from you.
